Today our beautiful boy turns SEVEN! It’s hard to believe seven years have passed since the little fuzzball was given to me. He was a gift. My gift. Though he seems to believe he belongs to Clark.
The image on the left was Bear at only a couple months old when we got him. The one on the right was taken just a few weeks ago. See all the grey of old age?
Celebrate with us
Use #HappyBirthdayBearB on Twitter to wish Bear a Happy 7th Birthday! You can tag me in them @TiffanyHigginsw. Follow me on Twitter to see photos of Bear through the years.
To celebrate Bear’s 7th birthday, we are running a Kindle Countdown deal through Saturday for Bully Troubles. Bear is one of the stars of the book. He starred with his kitty brother, Stone. Sadly Stone passed away last year just after his 18th birthday.
Bully Troubles is by far my favorite of all our books. It is written using some advanced vocabulary meant to encourage children to expand their knowledge. Each chapter begins with a black and white Indian ink illustration.
Bully Troubles features an activity in the beginning of the book to help children understand how bullying hurts.
Every child should be required to read this book, or read it to them!
This is a very enjoyable children’s book from the point of view of Bear B a sweet dog who hangs out with Stone, a cat.
While exploring their new neighborhood they experience bullying, it’s really neat how they end up dealing with it, and the awesome twist at the end.
I think every child in grade school should be REQUIRED to read this book, then discuss it! Maybe it will help end some of the bullying in schools!
I will tell everyone I know with children to get this book!
Really adorable characters and great handling of an important topic- bullying. I will be sharing this book with my kindergarten class.

Moving is never easy. Living in a new house, in a new neighborhood, where nothing is familiar can be hard. Bear B and Stone are experiencing these changes in their life. They are making new friends and learning to love their new home. Not everyone is very welcoming. Bossy and Butch are downright mean. They don’t like Stone. It’s not anything he did. It’s just because he is a cat. Bully Troubles is about overcoming the bullies. Bear B and Stone want to be able to enjoy their lives. They don’t want to let Butch and Bossy get in the way. Can they defeat the bullies without becoming bullies themselves?
You can purchase Bully Troubles in print or on Kindle through any country’s Amazon page. However, the Kindle countdown deals are only available in the US and UK.
