Why do you want to work for [insert company]?

We know the question is coming but never feel prepared when it’s asked. Your brain scrambles to come up with something that will fit the company and appeal to what you’ve ascertained of the interviewers personality. In other words, we say what we think they want to hear. In truth. We don’t want the job. Blessed are the ones who do get to love  what they do or where they work. But we don’t want to work. We want to live free.

At one of my recent interviews, I didn’t have to scramble. I didn’t even lie beyond the fact that I would rather stay home and write. I’m really hoping for that job the most.
